Der Flieder blüht / The lilacs are blooming

 

... bzw. ist fast schon wieder verblüht.

Ganz schön zeitig dieses Jahr!!

Aber egal wann, ich liebe seinen Duft!

... or have almost faded again.

Pretty early this year!!

But no matter when, I love its scent!

Ich weiß, in Natura sieht der Flieder nicht so aus ... das ist künstlerische Freiheit.

Den Flieder stanzte ich aus Aquarellpapier aus und färbte ihn dann mit Aquarellfarben ein.

Die Vase stanzte ich aus einem Stück Zauberpapier aus.

(Zauberpapier = erst wenn man es einfärbt, erscheint das Muster)

Bevor ich alle Teile auf der Karte befestigte, machte ich mit einem gelben und pinken Acrylstift 

feine Spritzer auf den Kartenrohling.

I know the lilac doesn't look like this in nature... that's artistic freedom.

I punched the lilac out of watercolor paper and then colored it with watercolor paints.

I punched the vase out of a piece of magic paper.

(Magic paper = the pattern only appears when you color it)

Before I attached all the pieces to the card, I made fine splashes on the card blank 

with a yellow and pink acrylic pen.

Ich liebe aber auch den Duft von Maiglöckchen 

und so stellte ich Flieder und Maiglöckchen in eine Gießkanne.

But I also love the scent of lily of the valley 

and so I put lilac and lily of the valley in a watering can.

Als Hintergrund verwendete ich dieses mal ein Stück Designpapier mit einer Pusteblume darauf, 

denn auch diese Blumen sind jetzt wieder überall zu finden.

Das Papier stanzte ich in Form einer großen Briefmarke aus und stempelte noch kleine Briefmarkenmotive darauf.

Den Flieder und die Maiglöckchen stanzte ich wieder aus Aquarellpapier und färbte sie mit Aquarellfarben ein. Die Gießkanne stanzte ich ebenfalls aus Aquarellpapier, welches ich zuvor mit Brushofarben eingefärbt hatte.

As a background I used a piece of design paper with a dandelion on it, 

because these flowers can now be found everywhere again.

I punched out the paper in the shape of a large postage stamp and stamped small stamp motifs on it.

I punched the lilacs and lilies of the valley out of watercolor paper again and colored them with watercolor paints. I also punched the watering can out of watercolor paper, which I had previously colored with Brusho paints.
