It's reveal time again in the Card Chain Challenge.
Diesen Monat ging meine Karte zu Greta in Oregon.
This month my card went to Greta in Oregon.
Als ich den Sketch sah, hatte ich sofort die Idee zu meiner Karte,
denn dieser tolle Stempel mit der Glühbirne (La Blanche) schlummert schon lange
in meinem Stempelschrank und nun konnte ich ihn endlich mal zum Leuchten bringen.
When I saw the sketch, I immediately had the idea for my card,
because this great stamp with the light bulb (La Blanche) has been lying dormant
in my stamp cabinet for a long time and now I was finally able to make it shine.
Zuerst stempelte ich die Glühbirne und maskierte sie. Mit verschiedenen Schablonen
und Distress Oxides gestaltete ich den Hintergrund und machte mit Gesso in weiß
feine Spritzer. Die Glühbirne colorierte ich mit Alkoholstiften.
Dann stanzte ich ein kleines Etikett aus und stempelte darauf das Wort 'Idee'.
Zum Schluß kam noch der passende Text dazu.
First I stamped the light bulb and masked it. I designed the background using various stencils
and distress oxides and made fine splashes with gesso in white.
I colored the light bulb with alcohol pens.
Then I die cut a small label and stamped the word 'Idea' on it.
Finally, the appropriate text was added.
"Life is short, be creative."
Meine Karte kam diesen Monat von Bonnie in Colorado.

Die Antwort ist ganz einfach. Beim Kochen bin ich niemals allein in der Küche ... *LOL*.

The answer is quite easy. When I cook, I'm never alone in the kitchen... *LOL*.

Klasse! So ein Glühlampenstempel schlummert auch noch unbenutzt bei mir im Fundus. Du hast ihn super eingesetzt! Aber sag' niemals GlühBIRNE! Birnen liegen im Obstkorb! Das hat mir mein Mann schon vor Jahren beigebracht. :-))

Your card is spot on for the sketch! The light bulb is well colored to be the star of this card, the sentiments are perfect for it too, and I like your combination of stencils on the background.

I'm so glad to see someone actually used a light bulb Gundi! I have a light bulb die from Tim Holtz, but then went on a different path (a parakeet?!) What wonderful stenciling behind your stamping too! Are those two dogs yours?? they are just adorable - I can see why you have two!! You're probably never alone anywhere in the house??!! Julia xx

dieser Spruch passt genau zu dir - du hast so viele Ideen und bist überaus kreativ. Mit allen Stanzen kannst du passende Karten kreiieren, es ist erstaunlich. Auch diese ist so ein besonderes Werk.
Deine zwei Mitbewohner sind so lieb, sie warten wohl gerade auf was Gutes ;-)
