Der Schnee / The snow

 

... hat uns wieder verlassen (sehr schade!!!!), 

aber etwas winterliches möchte ich Euch trotzdem noch zeigen.

... has left us again (a shame!!!!), 

but I still want to show you something wintry.

Von meiner Mutti hatte ich einige Stickrahmen bekommen.

Da ich nicht mehr sticke, wurden sie zu Dekoobjekten umgearbeitet.

I got some embroidery frames from my mother.

Since I no longer embroider, they were made into decorative objects.

Diese Idee hatte ich mal in einer französischen Bastelzeitschrift gesehen.

Zuerst klebte ich Designpapier als Hintergrund auf den Rahmen.

Dann klebte ich die Stanzteile auf das Designpapier, gab anschließend kleine Styroporkugeln 

in den Rahmen und klebte eine durchsichtige Folie auf die Vorderseite.

Nach dem Trocknen klebte ich das Bild und die anderen Stanzelemente direkt auf die Folie.

 I once saw this idea in a French craft magazine.

First I glued designer paper onto the frame as a background.

Then I glued the die-cut parts to the design paper, then put small Styrofoam balls 

in the frame and glued a transparent film to the front.

After drying, I glued the picture and the other die-cut elements directly onto the foil.

Ich habe es auch noch einmal im Liegen fotografiert, 

da könnt Ihr sehen, das der Rahmen einen Schneekugeleffekt hat.

I also took another photo of it lying down, 

so you can see that the frame has a snow globe effect.

Den ersten Stickrahmen hatte ich für uns gemacht und die anderen als Weihnachtsgeschenke.

I made the first embroidery frame for us and the others as Christmas presents.

Und dann möchte ich mich recht herzlich für die vielen lieben Kommentare 

zu unserem Familenzuwachs bedanken. Auch Kamo hat sich sehr gefreut 

und als Dankeschön dürft Ihr alle diesen tollen Stock bestaunen, 

den er im Wald gefunden hat.
